Many
companies do not possess the ability to either train or
assess the ability of their newly formed PSD/SET teams
before they send them into their Area of Operations such as
Iraq or Afghanistan. They usually only have an interview
result to go off regarding the competency of the newly
contracted PSD/SET team member.
This can be a costly business in potentially both the lives
of team members and that of the Principals they are supposed
to be protecting if they are not up top standard or if they
are all following different ways of performing the same task
which not only looks totally unprofessional but also loses
the face of the company in front of the Client/Principal.
Other costly lessons is finding out that the PSD/SET team
member is not up to the standard desired and the company
faces more costs in having to fly the PSD/SET out of Area
and then bring in a replacement meaning both time and money
wasted.
ESTS offers the perfect solution - a Pre-Deployment 'crash
course' whereby we put the new PSD/SET team members through
several assessment scenarios whereby we can identify any
weak areas and have the time and ability to either bring the
PSD/SET team members up to speed or to recommend they do not
go any further.
We can do this in one of two ways, either at your own
facility or at our training facility in the UK or our
facility in South Africa. The Pre-Deployment package is five
days in duration and costs £1,650 per PSD/SET team member
for the period. This includes all food and student
accommodation.
A full evaluation report will be issued to the company on
completion for each PSD/SET team member they put through the
course. The course is also ideal for refresher training and
ongoing evaluations to weed out bad habits that may form
in-country such as short-cutting drills that may result in
accidents.
If you are interested in these services for your company,
please do not hesitate to contact us via email at
info@psd-training.org.uk as it has been proved time and
again that too many undesirables are ending up on PSD/SET
teams in-country causing problems for the company they are
representing through bad drills, bad attitudes and bad
relations with the Principals.
“Too
many poorly trained individuals are slipping through the
nets and causing a multitude of problems for the teams on
the ground, too many cowboys are now operating in theatre
and this sort of unprofessional behaviour cannot and will
not be tolerated anymore ”.
